so far I’ve pitched 800+ ppl on fermi. fun.

And everytime I pitched — I made this one mistake.

❓was it how long the pitch was (it wasn’t)
❓ was it how beautiful it looked (it wasn’t)
❓ was it the wrong target audience (it wasn’t)

I stumbled across a clip from furqan on twitter that beautifully explained the mistake I was making with the help of mario. ⬇️

I was selling what I’ve built instead of the outcome ppl get.

I was selling the flower instead of the fire-breathing mario.

why should users care? what’s in it for them?

users don’t care if your product is a beautiful flower that’s yellow & red.

they care about how they’d feel having used your product. the flower allows them to —

✅ grow 2x as big
✅ run 2x as fast
✅ jump 2x as high
✅ spit fire balls

you gotta communicate this transformation ✨
